Welcome to FlickTrove. Please read the following Terms of Service carefully before using our application.

1. Acceptance of Terms

The use of the "FlickTrove" application (hereinafter referred to as the "App") is subject to the acceptance of and compliance with these Terms of Service. The App is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older (or the minimum age required to provide digital consent under your local legislation). By accessing and using the App, you declare and warrant that you meet this age requirement and fully accept these conditions without reservation.

2. Intellectual Property

All source code, user interface (UI), graphics, animations, design, and original content of the application are the exclusive property of the developer, except for any third-party libraries or assets distributed with their respective open-source licenses (widely credited within the app).

Any unauthorized reproduction, copying, modification, reverse engineering, or redistribution, for commercial or non-commercial purposes, is strictly prohibited without the explicit written consent of the developer. Metadata, ratings, and promotional images (including posters) regarding movies and TV shows are the property of their rightful copyright holders and are provided via the TMDB, TheTVDB, OMDB, Giphy, and Trakt APIs in accordance with their respective terms of use. External news articles and links displayed in the News section remain the property of their respective publishers (Everyeye.it, BadTaste.it, Collider.com, and ScreenRant.com).

3. Limitation of Liability

FlickTrove is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. The developer makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding continuous operation, absence of bugs, defects, software errors, or service interruptions.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer disclaims any liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of or the inability to use the App. This includes, but is not limited to, the loss of data (such as movie lists, reviews, account preferences), device crashes, temporary outages, or unauthorized access.

4. User-Generated Content (UGC)

FlickTrove allows users to post comments, write reviews, and upload custom avatars, images, or attach GIFs via Giphy. By using these features, you agree not to upload or post content that is illegal, offensive, pornographic, violent, discriminatory, or that violates third-party copyrights. You must also use the designated "Spoiler" feature if your comment contains spoilers about the plot of movies or TV shows. You are solely responsible for the content you create and upload. The developer reserves the unchallengeable right to remove any inappropriate content (including comments and avatars) and restrict, suspend (temporarily or permanently), or ban the user's ability to post comments, or in severe cases, suspend the user's account without prior notice. We encourage users to use the in-app "Reporting" (segnalazioni) feature to flag any content that violates these guidelines.

5. Suspension of Account and Service

The developer reserves the unchallengeable right, without any obligation of prior notice, to modify, suspend, or discontinue, in whole or in part, the features of the App, the cloud services connected to it, or the hosting servers.

In the event of abuse, violation of these Terms, improper use of third-party APIs, spam, or behaviors deemed harmful to the infrastructure, the developer reserves the right to limit, suspend, or permanently terminate the user's access to the App and delete their account.

6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Italian Republic and European Union law. Any dispute concerning the interpretation, execution, or termination of these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Italian courts (or the competent court according to the current consumer protection regulations in Europe).
